It’s been a while since I’ve made a wreath and even though I already have a fall wreath on my front door, I have still been wanting to make one. I bought a plain grapevine wreath a while back with the intention of gathering lots of natural materials outside to fill it with. Then, when I was making yarn apples the other day, it occurred to me that I could make pumpkins in the same way and I just knew that they would be so cute on a wreath.
The little pumpkins themselves were so fun and easy to make while watching tv. I just used a bag of cotton balls and wrapped each one with orange yarn. I used one big roll of yarn and one bag of 100 cotton balls and a dollar store grapevine wreath. After making the pumpkins, I stuck little twigs in the tops to make the pumpkin stems. Then I just hot glued them to the wreath.
I had a few left over pumpkins that I just put up on my shelf. Such a simple and adorable little decoration.
I am just crazy about my little pumpkins and my new wreath! It will be perfect for Thanksgiving!
