I have seen people draw and write on their shirts with bleach pens and I think it creates a very cool effect.
I thought I would try it using a paper doily as a stencil. I found an old shirt of my daughter’s that was already stained to practice on.
I laid it out flat with a piece of wax paper inside to prevent bleed through. Then, I placed the doily (I actually layered about 3 so it would be thicker and sturdier) on top of the shirt and pinned it down so that it would be still.
I just traced the heart and filled in all of the little spaces with the bleach pen. After I was done, I let the bleach do it’s thing. The longer you leave it on, the more it will bleach it out.
Once it’s done, just rinse the bleach out in the sink and run it through the washing machine by itself, dry, and it’s ready to wear.
Now my daughter has a unique Valentine’s shirt to wear instead of having to toss out a shirt she couldn’t wear anymore!
