Message in a Bottle Valentine Decor
My den and dining room have a lot of Valentine decor. This is where my mantel and wreaths are. It sort of looks like cupid exploded in those rooms. My living room, however, does not. I wanted to add a very subtle touch of Valentines in there. I came up with this message in a bottle idea. I love to collect vintage bottles and have various sizes, colors, and shapes. I found three that were similar and decided to use them. I found some amazing old handwritten letters and poems from The Graphic Fairy and printed them out. I rolled them up using a pencil and pushed them down inside the bottles. I tied on some red paper hearts with twine and I was done. Very simple with just a touch of Valentines. It was just what I wanted.
You could probably make some real valentines to give someone using this same idea. Just write your message and roll it up and put it inside a bottle. You could add a cork to the top ( I just didn’t have any) and tie it up with ribbons and a cute tag.

Gosh, these are darling. I love the old time bottles. You don't see them very often in the States these days. I'll have to keep my eye open for some over here. And how cool that you can download old handwritten letters. People had such better writing back then. Old letters should be considered a work of art.
