It was so much fun (or as they call it-good green fun!) All along the maze were questions about soil to help us figure out which way to go. Of course, we still ended up getting lost! But that's part of the fun.
Follow the leader!
Which way do we go?
After the maze, the kids went on a hayride and played in a cornbox which is kinda like a sandbox except it is full of corn. (I think that might've been the best part!)
They buried themselves in corn, made corn angels, & made it rain corn!
Then they got to pick out a little pumpkin to take home. After a sacklunch and some playground time, we were all ready to go.
Days like this, getting to be there with my kids is what makes not working and staying home all worth it. I may not be able to afford all the stuff I want to have but having the time for the stuff that really matters is priceless.
Looks like you and your daughter had a day you will remember for years to come. Hopefully she'll remember that her mom took the time to make a cute shirt for her to wear. Both the shirt and the skirt are so very cute together.
ReplyDeleteFun field trip. I want to bury myself in corn. Beats straw any day. Allergy wise. I think. I've never done that so actually I have no idea. Maybe I'd be sneezing like a mad woman but it sure looks fun!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know I featured your super cute shirt today. Come check it out! whilehewasnapping.blogspot.com
