Found on the Side of the Road
I stopped and picked these flowers on the side of the road. Yes- the side of the highway with cars flying by me and people looking at me wondering what that crazy lady was doing. I didn't really care. There were like a zillion of these flowers just growing wild on the side of the road so I hit the brakes and got out and picked a handful. I don't even know what they are but they are pretty on my table and that's all that matters. I must admit that this is not the first time I have grabbed flowers on the side of the road that have caught my eye...and I'm sure it will not be the last!
I love having fresh flowers but it can be rather expensive! Sometimes, I'll pick up a bouquet from the grocery store or Wally World that has been clearanced. They usually last for about a week. I think the key to making flowers stay fresh is to keep the water clean so it doesn't build up with icky bacteria.
I am spending the weekend cleaning/rearranging so I can get it out of the way and get back to crafting! I still have Halloween costumes and several other projects I've been meaning to do. Enjoy your weekend!!
