Creamy Cheesy Chicken Bake

Creamy Cheesy Chicken Bake (Krafty Kat)

OK, save this recipe because it will be a hit.  Trust me.  I have some super picky kids and they all love it!  It's one of their favorite meals.

This recipe is an adaptation from a recipe I found on Pinterest for Chicken Crescent Roll Casserole.  It is really good but we like this one better.  I think I just enjoy the texture of the noodles more than the crescent rolls.  If you try them both, I would love to know which you like better.

This recipe feeds my family of 7 with some left over.  If you aren’t feeding quite so many, you can easily just 1/2 the amount of ingredients or make it then eat half and freeze half.  You could also add in veggies if you’d like.

Ingredients:
2 Cooked Chicken Breasts, Shredded
1 16 oz. pkg. Rotini Noodles
3 10.5 oz. cans of Cream of Chicken Soup
2 8 oz. bags of Shredded Cheddar Cheese (or whatever kind of cheese you like)
Half pint Whipping Cream
1 8 oz. pkg of Cream Cheese
1 Stick Butter or Margarine
Salt/Pepper to taste

Directions:
Boil Chicken Breasts until done.  Remove from pot and boil the rotini noodles in the chicken broth.  Drain the rotini noodles and set aside.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In the meantime,  stir together 1/2 cup whipping cream, 3 cans of cream of chicken soup, and 1 cup of shredded cheese in saucepan.  Heat until cheese melts.  Do not heat to boiling.
After the sauce is done, remove from heat.

Cream together the stick of butter and the cream cheese.  Add 1 cup of cheese and mix together.

Now, if you are using a stand mixer, add the chicken breast and it will shred it for you.  Otherwise, shred the chicken and then add it to the cream cheese mixture.  Add 2 tbsp of whipping cream and mix well.IMG_4916IMG_4919

Now, it is ready to go in the pan. Add some sauce to the bottom of the pan.

Then add some rotini noodles.  Next add the cream cheese and chicken mixture.  Stir together to combine ingredients then repeat the layers until done.IMG_4929
Top with remaining cheddar cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes.  Enjoy!Creamy Cheesy Chicken Bake
