Well, yesterday was my little girl’s 6th birthday. It was so much fun. We put up balloons and streamers and tissue paper flowers. When she got home from school, we had a little party with just us. We enjoyed cake and ice cream and enjoyed watching her open presents. We bought her some things but it was so sweet to watch her brothers and sister give her gifts of the heart- they gave her some of their own things. Kids are just precious.
Now, I must turn my attentions to less fun things- cleaning this house. Not that I don’t clean every day, ok. With 6 people under one roof, you have to. But, I mean, really, really cleaning- deep cleaning. I must really be in the mood for it but when that mood strikes, I am like an unstoppable force. Are you like that? Lately, it seems, that mood strikes me a lot less often. Sometimes, I have to try to motivate myself. I will watch episodes of “How Clean is Your House” and that usually inspires me to not let my house turn into one of those houses on the show. They offer a lot of good tips along the way.
So, as much as I would love to be crafting and blogging today, I need to be getting down and dirty in my house today while I feel the urge. Part of me is like, aww…man! I just started making little fabric rosette hair clips last night and they were turning out great for my first attempt and I have several other projects I want to get started on but they will have to wait for a bit. I know I will feel much better when I can sit back and enjoy the feeling of being in a nice, neat, well-organized space. It does wonders for the spirit. I will leave you with some inspirational pics of clean, neat spaces…
I am so like that. I usually do my best deep cleaning at night....I don't know what but I do!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I wish it was that clean under my sink and that my pantry was that perfect too! I'd better start cleaning as well! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love it- I laughed out loud when I read this because I watch “How Clean is Your House” too to get inspired to clean! Sometimes it works and sometimes I end up staying on the couch watching back to back episodes ; )
